Giovanni Allevi, composer and pianist, has been fighting his biggest battle for a year: the fight against multiple myeloma diagnosed in June 2022. Through his official social channels, he has constantly given updates with respect to his state of health, expressing deep gratitude to the hundreds of thousands of followers who are waiting to relive the enthralling atmosphere of his piano concerts and who are looking forward to seeing the "philosopher of the piano" again to thrill with his romantic notes and unmistakable touch. To meet the many requests, a number of new solo piano concert dates have already been announced, while others have never been canceled in the past year because many fans have held on to their tickets tightly, showing even more of their enormous affection for the artist. JOHN ALLEVI Giovanni Allevi, an internationally renowned composer and pianist, is responsible for a profound renewal of classical music, bringing the art of composition back to the attention of new generations. He holds diplomas in Piano and Composition and a degree in Philosophy with the thesis "The Void in Contemporary Physics." He has graced the stages of the world's most important concert halls, from Carnegie Hall in New York to La Scala Theater in Milan to the Forbidden City Auditorium in Beijing. Thanks to his intellectual commitment, he is a philosophical reference point on the concepts of innovation and analysis of change. His latest book is titled "The Rules of the Piano - 33 notes of music and philosophy for a life out of the ordinary" (Ed. Solferino). Numerous dissertations have been dedicated to him. A Knight of the Italian Republic for artistic and cultural merits, he is Stella d'Oro al Valor Mozartiano, Falcone and Borsellino Award, and Ambassador of Save the Children, in the forefront of defending the rights of the youngest. He has received appreciative remarks from Pope Benedict XVI, Pope Francis, and Nobel Laureate Mikhail Gorbachev. The U.S. space agency NASA named an asteroid after him: giovanniallevi111561. He is the author and host of an innovative and award-winning docuseries aired on Rai Play: "Allevi in the jungle." From the notes of his latest single "Our Future" dedicated to the Planet, the composer's collaboration with Earth Day European Network began, with him involved as an Ambassador of the most important green initiative dedicated to the Earth.
