Sogno viennese. Cent’anni di allegria
Teatro DonizettiA dream is, by definition, a sequence of images where, often, it is sweet to be lulled. Viennese Dream wants to be this: a show that moves between historical reconstruction and pure entertainment, becoming, however, not only "divertissement," but also a moment of knowledge of the world of operetta. A sequence of sumptuous, fast-paced pictures serve as a guiding thread to the revival of famous titles and the discovery of others that are less represented (Puccini also wrote for Vienna and perhaps not everyone knows this!) A show that is always smiling, with at the corners of the mouth and in the eyes the signs of a continuous cheerfulness: "allegretto sostenuto" as one would say in music! Thus is born a "revue" where the rhythm of the narrative and the harmony of the melodic cues unite and merge in a sequence of cheerful, lighthearted episodes, arias and concertati sustained by the music of Strauss, Zeller, Von Suppè, Lehàr, Abraham, Puccini, performed live by an orchestral group, interpreted by the Company's soloists and choreographed for the Ballet of Parma. A show, then, of lightness and seduction where, while dancing a whirling waltz, you may happen to fall in love, for this is music that melts hearts and warms the soul. Enjoy!
