Total renovation works. This is how we can describe the work being carried out in these months on the Gaetano Donizetti Theatre, Bergamo’s most important Theatre.

It had long needed a major refurbishment, both to the structure and to the systems. Today we take you into the heart of the work thanks to Gianfranco Rota photographs: his images speak for themselves, showing a theatre laid completely bare.

I lavori procedono a ritmo serratoThe renovation works are proceeding at a fast pace, even overcoming the unforeseen events that always occur in such a delicate context and on a building site of this magnitude (an underground fuel oil tank that has been removed; the need to create foundations for some structural walls, remove asbestos from the flues and consolidate the decks of the first and second galleries).
