Starting from Donizetti’s inspiration, we have structured the project from the masks of the commedia dell’arte in order to ride the playful soul of this opera and delve into the theme of play as the driving force behind all the action. The show will be a reduction of the original work to which Harlequin (Don Pasquale’s servant) and Colombina (Norina’s servant) will be added. The two masks, together with Ernesto and Norina will construct a great prank on old Don Pasquale, who is guilty of obstructing their love. As in the Goldonian tradition, the servants will be narrators of the events that the audience will not see directly.

The performance will be preceded by a workshop starting at 2:30 pm.
