Eternal harmonies.

Theater is the dream machine that connects every art to its audience.

The Night of the Bell, June 17, 2017

Donizetti Theater, Bergamo. 11:55 p.m.
Outside the theater a group of people wait to enter the auditorium. No evening dress, no binoculars. People are comfortable.
T-shirts, shorts, some venture into pajamas. And then pillows, lots of pillows. Those passing by are intrigued, almost puzzled; the next day they would understand. Newspapers headline “At Donizetti the first sleep concert in an opera house.” It was a nocturnal, dreamlike journey to discover experimental sounds: eight international artists accompanied the audience in a unique and exclusive event. On that occasion, as never before, the theater was transformed into the dream box of hundreds of spectators in attendance.

Slab – Transformation under slab and new flooring.

The Platea was one of the areas most affected by the renovation work. The entire auditorium underwent a complete renovation: from the cleaning and reevaluation of the artwork to the replacement of the lighting department. The parts most affected by the work, however, were the flooring and the sub stalls. The slab of the slab was demolished and rebuilt to make a punctual system of air supply from the floor. Then the entire area underwent a complete repaving in wood treated with special fireproofing impregnants. In addition to all this, the stalls seats were replaced with new seats with fire-retardant red velvet upholstery for Class 1IM fire resistance. The entire stalls have thus been characterized by functional interventions for a great innovation that is not seen but felt.
