Pat Metheny is a living guitar legend.  In his hands, the six strings have gone beyond every limit and music genre, from true jazz to the most adventurous experimentation. And in these many mutations in style, the guitarist from Missouri has increasingly wanted fitting partners beside him, from the big names of jazz to young talents. For his Side Eye trio, he decided to create a platform to focus “on some of the many younger musicians I have liked recently and felt a kinship with. I regularly listen to new artists and often invite them to play at my house. I find inspiration in the way they confront musical challenges on old and new tunes and I am fascinated by the possibility of writing new music just for them.” Pat Metheny is therefore now joined by two young musicians of proven talent with whom he is writing a new chapter in his glittering career.
